Independent Contractor – Community Engagement, Digital Comms, Fundraising & Grants

  • Co-organize SCT’s reentry events (Community Reentry Forum, job & resource fairs, rallies), including outreach, speaker recruitment, agenda development, day-of logistics, and post-event follow-up. Organized Rally 4 Reentry collaboration with local community to elevate lived-experience leadership and cross-sector projects.

  • Conduct outreach to individuals and groups at community forums, job/resource fairs, and partner events through tabling, presentations, and one-on-one conversations.

  • Coordinate with community partners, build relationships with justice-impacted community members, nonprofits, government partners, and employers to strengthen a local “second chance” ecosystem. Aligned outreach to reduce duplication and close resource gaps across support services.

  • Launched SCT’s first Summer internship program (3 University of Arizona students): created structure, mentorship, deliverables, and evaluation.

  • Built audience workflows and donor-facing messaging for community-centric fundraising; contributed narrative/strategy for grants and theory-of-change materials.

  • Redesigned SCT’s Wix site and integrated engagement tools, improving navigation to resources, events, and newsletter sign-ups.

  • Produced cohesive brand assets (logos, flyers, videos, social graphics) and unified cross-channel comms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) with Mailchimp + Linktree.

Inside Out Network (ION)

  • Led statewide expansion of ION in Arizona; coordinated with AZ Dept. of Corrections (ADCRR) to integrate platform access pre- and post-release.

  • Conducted outreach and one-on-one meetings in prison facilities and community settings, explaining ION’s services, expectations, and timelines to prospective participants and partners.

  • Designed and delivered presentations/trainings for incarcerated people, correctional staff, community members, and providers on navigating ION and locating reentry resources.

  • Maintained and improved a statewide reentry resource database and built referral channels with employers, schools, reentry programs, and community organizations to streamline navigation and continuity of care for justice-impacted individuals.

  • Oversaw data quality and reporting; analyzed usage/impact metrics to inform improvements and stakeholder updates.

  • Recruited/trained volunteers and interns; developed materials that improved staff and participant understanding of services and processes.

V O L U N T E E R / L E A D E R S H I P

Volunteer/Planning Committee, Fresh Start International (2021–2023 & 2025) Supported annual TCC Expo to connect returning citizens with equitable access to services and opportunities.

Chaired the Fundraising Committee for the charity event Teachers Planting Seeds. (2018) The event recognized the hard work and accomplishments of the teachers at Ocotillo Learning Center in Tucson, AZ. With the support and donations of several local businesses a luncheon was held where teachers were gifted school supplies and gift cards. Additionally, a tree was donated as well as materials for the school’s garden.
