Here to shine my light and share my story
Hello!
Here's who I am & the cool things I do
Currently aiming to build genuine relationships across the community to spark collaboration, gain insight, and hopefully serve my home in helpful ways with the wisdom I've earned.

A little about Me...
Miranda Elizabeth Campos is a passionate and purpose-driven leader committed to restorative justice, community healing, and transformational reentry work. With a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and years of direct engagement in the field, she brings both academic grounding and lived empathy to her mission of supporting justice-impacted individuals and their families.
Rooted in her personal journey of addiction recovery & being a justice-impacted individual herself, Miranda leads with vulnerability, strength, and a sincere belief in Second Chances. Her work is informed by her faith and guided by a deep reverence for human dignity and all creation.
Miranda serves as the Director of Development & Community Engagement with Second Chance Tucson (SCT), supporting community reintegration by helping people impacted by incarceration connect to resources, relationships, and pathways forward—especially through community connection and collaboration. A South Tucson native with lived experience and addiction recovery, Miranda’s work is grounded in the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in community. She is passionate about trauma-informed support, stigma reduction, and building cross-sector partnerships that expand practical access to housing, employment, and peer-led support. Miranda brings both professional training in criminology/criminal justice and real-world insight shaped by lived experience—bridging systems and community with honesty, hope, and action.
She is also a proud and active HUB member of the Pima County Reentry Coalition since 2020, where she continues cross-sector collaborations with fellow community members passionately dedicated to helping individuals and families access resources, support, and opportunity—to ensure no one falls through the cracks.
Beyond her professional life, she is the grateful mother of a college freshman, Gabriel, whose presence is one of her life’s greatest blessings and continues to be one of her unfailing sources of joy and purpose. By sharing her gifts and shining the light she was blessed with, Miranda aspires to offer help and hope to those she serves.
